1 - On a safety pin that you are going to attach the  pins with the beads on, take a knife and slide it into the tail end of the pin and jiggle it to create a little opening so the pins that will contain the beads can slide around the curl  (tail end of the pin)

2 - Open the safety pin.

3 - Fill the remaining 12 pins with beads in the color sequence in the chart below. It is advisable to take each pin in sequence, after you put the beads on, and put it on the pin that will hold the pins with the beads on by putting it on through the tail end of the pin and working it around the coil of the pin that will hold all the beaded pins.
