(1)
On each
of 12 safety pins, put on 7- 18MM starflake beads and close the
pin.

Pin
#1
|
(2)
On each
of the remaining 12 safety pins, put on 1 spaghetti bead and 3- 18MM starflake beads. Make sure that the spaghetti
bead goes on the safety pin first.

Pin
#2
|
(3)
With a
pair of small pliers, crimp the heads of the safety pins to prevent them
from opening

|
|
(4)
Cut a 24"
strip of the 20 gauge wire. Put the wire through the tail
of the safety pins and then
put the beads and pins onto the wire in the order (1 through 8) listed
below, making sure that the beads on the safety pins
are facing you. When I refer to pin #1 or #2, refer to the above pictures.
1) 1 - Pin #1
5) 1 - Pin #2
2) 3 - 25MM starflakes
6) 3 - 25MM starflakes
3) 2 - 18MM starflakes
7) 2 - 18MM starflakes
4) 1 - 25MM starflake
8) 1 - 25MM starflake
Continue this sequence until you have 12 safety pins,
48 - 25MM
starflakes and 24 - 18MM starflakes on the wire, and again making sure that the beads on the safety
pins are facing you, as illustrated in the picture to your right.
|

|
(5)
Twist the 2 ends of the wire together, using your pliers, to make a
nice tight circle making sure that the beads on the pins are facing
outwards. Be aware, that when twisting the wires together, there is
a breaking point. When you are sure that the circle is tight enough, cut
off the excess wire with your pliers, making sure that you have a small
piece of the twisted wire to tuck inside the circle.
|
 |
|
(6)
Cut a 16" strip of 20 gauge wire and put it through the head of a
safety pin in the circle of pins and beads that you have just finished. If
you put the wire through the head of a pin #1, in the circle you have just
finished, take a loose pin #2 and put the wire through its head. Put 3 -
18MM starflakes on the wire then put the wire through the head of the next
safety pin in the circle you have finished. Continue this sequence making
sure that you alternate adding pins #1 and pins #2.
After adding 12 safety pins and 36 - 18MM starflakes, cut a 6" strip
of wire and put the wire through the tails of the pins you just added.
Twist the ends of the wires to make a tight circle and cut off the excess
wire.
|
 |
|
(7)
Cut a
7" strip of 20 gauge wire. Put the berry bead on the wire and
bend the wire in half so that the bead will be resting in the middle of
the wire. Turn your above finished circle of pins upside down and
insert the wire end of the wire, with the 20MM berry bead on it.

(10)
On the double wire that is sticking up, put on 1 - 25MM starflake, then
1-18mMM starflake and then 1-12MM starflake.
(11)
On one of the wires that is sticking
up, put on an 8mm faceted bead. Then take the 2 wires and twist them
together. Cut off the excess wire but leave a little of the twisted wire
and do
not tuck it in, leave it sticking up. View picture below.

|
(12)
On each of the arm wires that are sticking out from the body, put
on the following beads in the order that is listed.
1 - 18MM starflake
3 - 25MM starflakes
1 - 18MM starflake
8 - 12MM starflakes
1 - 18MM starflake
1 - 25MM starflake
1 - 8MM faceted bead |
(13)
Curl the wire at the end of each arm, with your pliers,
enough to prevent the 8MM faceted bead from falling off, and then cut off the
excess wire.
If you attach rosebuds to the hands, twist the wire from 1 hand around the
rosebuds then twist the wire from the other hand around the wire from the
hand that you attached the rosebuds to. |

|
(14)
Place the doll head over the the 8MM faceted bead that is on top of the
body.
(15)
If you wish, you can glue a 3" straw hat or a 2 1/2"
lace hat
on the finished dolls head and add rosebuds to the hat. |
